Coming Clean

November 15, 2016
Let's go back -- back to the beginning -- back when my face was clear, and my pores were clean.

Last week was tough (Is Mercury in Retrograde or something?), I think it’s appropriate to say that we all need a little R&R.

For me, relaxation involves a heavy dose of bath bubbles, music, and a clay face mask. According to science, spending a little time alone is a great way to relax and recharge before you need to face reality. Not to mention, listening to music (maybe some Hilary Duff??) has a way of calming down your nervous system before a typically stressful situation.

I know that when I’m under a ton of stress, my skin physically manifests that anxiety all over my face. So, a clay face mask feels like the ultimate pick-me-up. I know I’m not the only one that enjoys that feeling of applying the gooey clay on top of my pores. When I feel my face tighten; I can physically feel my skin revert to it’s youth.

There’s also some magic to face masks, that when you put them on you instantly feel pampered and relaxed, ready to take on the world.
